OutsideOur spacious, purpose-built cattery set in a peaceful, tree and bird filled area, was opened December 2003 and is known as a semi-communal boarding facility.

Essentially this means that each cat has a separate cage with hammock, fluffy bed, litter tray, food and water. The boarders are put to bed at night in their cages and released in the morning into the main cattery, where they can relax on benches in the sun, play in the cat tunnels, chat to the birds or scratch the cat furniture. Some love their hammock so much they prefer to remain in their cage for a while longer!

Monitoring forms are filled in each morning; recording food and water consumption, toileting and anything else of note such as vomiting and the general demeanour of the individual. All our cattery staff are well versed on the signs of ill health or stress and the nurses and vets are on hand should a concern arise.

Our vaccination protocol is strict, to endeavour to maintain the best possible environment for the health of our boarders. Therefore, vaccinations must be current that is, done within the last year and no closer to a stay than two weeks. Cats not fulfilling these criteria cannot be boarded.

We also require up-to-date flea treatment and worming, however, we are happy to administer these on arrival if necessary; nail clipping is another popular request.

InsideAll cats are fitted with an identification collar on admission; believe it or not there have been cases of owners choosing the wrong cat at collection and, of course, with several staff members it is easier for us as well!

Our cattery staff: Kelly, Tayler and Phoebe are all enthusiastic girls committed to caring for your cat and making their stay as positive and happy as possible. They have a great deal of love to share and they do it well.

Our nurses care for the boarders on the weekday mornings and oversee the day to day running of the cattery ensuring standards are maintained. Communication between the girls is paramount and everyone is kept up-to-date with any changes and special needs of any of the cats.

We welcome inspection of our cattery and will be proud to show you around. Please phone to arrange a suitable time.
